Char Dham Yatra-2023
If you are planning to travel, then know in which Dham when you can meet
If you are planning to visit Kedarnath or Yamunotri Dham, then plan your journey after May 31. At present, the booking of these Dhams has been completed till 31st May.
However, registrations are available after May 20 in Badrinath and May 25 in Gangotri. According to the Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee, till Monday, more than two lakh devotees have visited Kedarnath and 1.60 lakh in Badrinath Dham.
The number of days is fixed
In view of the increasing number of devotees in the Char Dhams, the state government has fixed the number of devotees visiting daily.
13 thousand for Kedarnath, 16 thousand for Badrinath, 8 thousand for Gangotri and five thousand per day for Yamunotri Dham.
Also, such software has been developed by the government, due to which further dates are being given as soon as the limit of the prescribed day is completed. That’s why the government has applied a limit rule for devotees to easily complete their travel.
In such a situation, now instructions are being given to travel only after seeing the registration date for when and on what date to travel in the four dhams. The government has started this system so that the passengers do not face any problem.

Opposition to making registration mandatory and stopping passengers:
There has been a protest against making the registration of passengers mandatory in the Chardham Yatra and stopping the passengers coming without registration.
Hotel owners of Uttarkashi, an important stop of Gangotri and Yamunotri, tried to take a water samadhi in Bhagirathi river at Manikarnika Ghat in protest.
When police and SDRF personnel stopped them, they forcibly descended into the river and started raising slogans against the government and the tourism minister.
During this, Gangotri MLA and SDM Bhatwadi also had to face opposition from the hotel owners. Later, by submitting a memorandum to the MLA, he warned of a violent agitation, including chaos, if the decision to stop the passengers was not withdrawn in two days.
